Who is responsible
HarperSEO Ltd (trading as Dateledger), company number 08841895, is the controller of your personal data. Our registered office and contact email are in the footer of every page.
What we collect and why
- Email address (and first name if you give it) when you join the free timeline. We use it to send you the timeline and date updates. Basis: your consent.
- Optional ticks and a free text box on the sign-up form about other packs you might want. We use them to decide what to build. Basis: your consent.
- Name, email and payment confirmation when you buy. Card details go to Stripe, not to us. We use them to supply the product, send the download and keep records. Basis: contract, and legal obligation for accounts and tax records.
- Messages you send us. We use them to reply. Basis: legitimate interest.
- Visit statistics from Cloudflare Web Analytics, with no cookies. We use them to see which pages are useful. Basis: legitimate interest.
- Google Analytics 4 data, only if you accept analytics cookies: pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location, how you found us and whether you signed up. We use it to improve the site. Basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
We do not ask you for property addresses, tenancy details or dates of birth on this site. Please do not send us them.
Marketing
If you join the free timeline, we send the timeline and date updates. We will only send you messages about our paid products if you tick the box that says so, or after you buy from us (about similar products, with a way to opt out in every email). You can unsubscribe in one click at any time.
Who we share it with
Providers who process data for us: Stripe (payments), Brevo (email sending), Cloudflare (website hosting, email forwarding and analytics), Google (Analytics, only if you accept) and GitHub (hosting our site files, which hold no customer data). Some of these are based outside the UK and use approved safeguards for transfers. We do not sell your data.
How long we keep it
Sign-up data until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Purchase records for six years after the end of the tax year, as the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, delete or restrict your data, to object to its use, and to take a copy. Contact us. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
We set no advertising cookies. We ask before using Google Analytics cookies, which measure visits so we can improve the site. If you choose No thanks, or ignore the banner, no Google Analytics cookies are set and the Google tag is not loaded. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings in the footer of every page. Your choice is stored in your browser only.
